Gens Ace Imars Dual's Software update
Many has found the benefits of this compact and well performing Imars Dual charger. Those who have bought the charger from the first batch may have noticed that the charger had quite complicated 1S lipo charging and buzzer which indicates that battery is fully charged did not stop beeping before the battery was disconnected. The latest software version (when typing this: 1.0.5) will fix these issues.
Gens Ace has made the updating very easy by offering simple PC software for it. Just download the latest software update here: https://www.gensace.de/support and extract it to your computer.
Before starting the update it is good to do some some basic preparetions. Make sure you have relatively modern PC with internet connection and the USB cable in hand which is included in the chargers accessories and the power cord. Find a good place where you can place the charger so that the USB wire reaches your computer's USB port and you can plug in the power to the charger.
When all this is prepared we can start.
- First start the Gens Ace software updater on your computer
- Connect the USB wire to your computer and then to the charger
- Press and Hold the charger's CH/BACK button while your plug the power to the charger
- Release the CH/Back button after you hear the tone from the charger. This tells that the charger is set to update mode
- Then just click the ”Update” button in the Update software and the program will run the update. If something is wrong in this point the software notes ”FAILED to Update” immediately. Then restart from the top.
- After the update is fully done 100% the software will inform ”update done” and the charger will restart itself.
- Then just unplug the USB and you are good to go.
