All I want for Christmas is a Nitro Truck!

Dear Santa.. I know that I've been a good boy for atleast half of the year so I really really think that I deserve myself something that is exceptionally awesome such as new HPI Racing Savage X 4.6 GT-6 Big Block Nitro Monster! Yes, that is how good I've been!

New Savage X 4.6 Nitro is a Real Thing. You can fool around all you want with your basher but no matter what, your sad buggy must bow down in front of this Big, Bad and Heavy Massive Nitro Monster. There is no doubt here - new Savage X is a real beast. Like a true monsters it has double Twin Vertical Plates as a chassis and is built stronger than a tank. Savage X 4.6 Nitro eat ARRMAs for breakfast, gulps them down with a fresh 20% nitromethanol and if still hungry it looks to direction of innocent little TRX trucks..

This truck blasts out near 3HP of raw power. Three horse powers out from a toy truck. Let that sink in, take a deep breath and order your own!

For those who do not remember, Savage was one of the first true bashing monster trucks available and has played an important role shaping the bashing culture of today. This truck has some true heritage and has been completely updated to meet modern day requirements. Savage is not for faint of heart and can be recommended only for those who trust themselves and know what they are doing. Like me!

Go slow bro

Fast and Furious is fun for sure but sometimes the biggest adventures come slow in speed but high on torque! With more than perfect timing, FTX released the third update for their popular Outback-family. FTX Outback 3 Paso 4x4 Trail Truck RTR hits the sweet spot when it comes to budget, performance and scale looks. First generations of Outback were indeed pretty flimsy and - yeah - cheap and under powered little "crawlers" but these new ones are totally from another planet. Everything is updated, chassis is much more sturdy, motor is bigger etc etc. Outback 3 Paso also looks really really good with roof rack, snorkel and hidden body clips.

I could easily see one of these at my personal collection of RC trucks and maybe even have it as a new daily driver.

These 4x4 crawlers are just like the real Off-Road trucks. They are not vary fast and can be therefore recommended very warmly for even the littlest drivers. Slow speed means better handling and less carnage. Get a real RC for your kid and forget the cheap more than crappy toys from the supermarket. These can be upgraded, these can be fixed and these teach a lot about how real trucks work too. Add a small shovel for extra realism!

Building it Together

Ok let's push all the selfishness aside for the Spirit of the Xmas. This time is also Family time and should be spent with the most important ones. One of the best gifts you can give to another is time. Give some time and spend it together! Nothing is more valuable than this. Now, it is also good to do something together. Play some games, craft something, build puzzles or.. build a Tamiya Kit!

There is some real magic in these kits. I've built few of these with my small ones and they've just loved them! Sure they need some assistance with the parts and screwing them in but thats the whole point! Also the reactions when they see that pile of parts transforming slowly to a real, self-built real racing car.. Just priceless!

Smart phones and computer games tend to suck all the creativity and imagination out from our kids. I am bit worried from the direction we are heading so it is time to fight back! It does not need to be much, just give time and do things together!

Tamiya kits have nice and very informative step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. Most of the kits are built ground up but some have prebuilt transmission box to make things easier.

For over forty year old kids we stocked up lately with some of the most wanted and memorable retro kits, such as The Frog and Blackfoot. These kits come with out Tamiya ESC and it is actually a good news.

Frozen Turkeys

These days are pretty hectic no? Remember to Chill Out and Relax with the best way you feel that suits your soul. For me it is Sauna and Well Cooked Pork we call as Chrismas-Ham that bring the spirit. It may be that we will be eating some delicous Turkey too as we have a pretty international and large family already. More good things for the table oh yes!
