XRS On-road Race Finland 2/22 Race Report

XRS race Finland 2/22 was held in Hakkila, Vantaa in Fullspeed RC club's facilities.

This time we had a great amount of 1/12th scale drivers and lots of EuroTrucks drivers participating. Race was also a part of EuroTruck series so the biggest bets were on the big rigs this time.

We would have loved to see more touring cars on the race, but since the national series starts at January, there were not so many drivers on the line with touring cars this time.

In the new CS-12 class the fastest driver was our team driver Janne Koivisto who took the win in first two A-finals with His Xray X12 car in front of Mikko Valve and Hiski Rönkkönen.

In GT-12 class the winner Miika Enroos also drove Xray X12 car, as did most of the other drivers in A-final.

Miika Had a good fight with other Xray driver, Jouni Ronni who ended up in second place taking also one final win.

In EuroTruck everyone drives the same Tamiya TT-01e truck chassis and there is very little you can adjust since the regulations are very tight. This makes the class pretty even for everyone and fun to watch for spectators. This Time it was Markku Honkanen, who tooks the highest step on the podium with clean and fast driving leaving others to fight for the second spot. Eventually it was Niko Vuorenmaa who managed to step on the second spot of the podium at A-final in front of Martti Honkasalo in 3rd place.

In touring prostock class, it was Team EuroRC driver Sammy Pajalin, who took the win before Tomi Saari and Lasse Ilvessalo. Sammy also drove the modified class with his prostock car managing to rise all the way up to 4th place! Nice job!

In Touring Modified we had a visiting stars trying out touring. Joona Haatainen showed everyone why he is one of the biggest stars in Finnish RC scene at the moment and took the win with a loaner car before Joona Lempiäinen and Juho Koskivuo. Nice job from a buggy driver! :)
