Hello friends this is Heikki from EuroRC! Hope ya good and well! Today I want to show you what huge information package our crew has collected in to our webshop. When we started 10 years ago we were just a small racing focused spare part shop. Good times! As our business begun to grow it became clear that we need to share our knowledge as it would be useful for our customers. This way they also save our customer service from replying to every simple repeating question. We of course still happily do this but now we can direct them to corresponding article! So as the years passed by we started to have a little library of written simple articles of RC information. Let's take a fast look at them and maybe you'll find something useful or even inspirational.

Excuse me but do you have time to talk about Lithium battery storage voltages?

I know many you folks know this area well but this is something what just cannot be overlooked (or cooked!). We do not want you to burn down your house so please in name of every god out there read this. So much misunderstanding of these things can be found daily from Facebook and forums today! Read our brilliant article of LiPO safety and charging procedures here! Still running that "genuine" balancing charger you found online in sweet price? Please be noted that it may not be very accurate in it's work especially when it comes to balancing and discharge. Get a new charger and update your battery connectors too!

RC car bodies - what scale fits? What about all these different types? Help me!

Yes it can be confusing and it is not getting easier. Let's talk about scale first - most of the RC cars are sold under the umbrella of 1:10 scale. Basically this is not true very often and the actual scale can be anything around it. What to do then when I want to get a new body if I cant trust what the packaging says? You measure it by wheelbase and choose a fitting one from our shop! Pictured above we have 1:8 body and 1:10 body next to eachother. Quite a big difference no? Can you hear the colours?

Clear body is not something to run. Painting can be pain sometimes but with few simple little tricks and taking some time you can get great results without any earlier experience. Please be patient! Paintwork should always be planned at least in some level and try to take it slow. Here is our excellent RC body painting article. You can also suit these guidelines to fit your needs. Always use quality masking tapes or liquid mask. I paint my lexan bodies inside with silver and final colour to outside of the body. Why? As a scale guy I want to keep it realistic and when the paint layer outside the shell scratches out it reveals the metallic silver color painted inside. Just like in real life!

From Basher to Racer

We will always be a shop for RC racers and we want you to try some competition too! Nothing beats the feeling when you are in the heat of the competition and about to take over your buddy and maybe you have too much speed but maaybe..! We want you to win and this is why we made a article out of that too. Well we cannot guarantee that you really win or anything but with us it surely is more reachable. After reading our From Backyard to Track article tune up your car, practice, tune up little more and practice practice practice! Small steps and dedication to the sport are the key. And practice! I encourage you to go to your local track and meet the other racers. This hobby is best enjoyed with other people so go and get in! They wont eat ya I promise.
