Joel Valander's Race Report From XRS race Finland

The very First Finnish XRS race was held in Vantaa, Finland at Fullspeed RC's facilities last Saturday, 2.3.2019 Here's a race report from the race by Joel Valander.
Xray Racing Series was held first time in Finland past weekend at Vantaa Fullspeed RC track.
Layout was same as nationals couple weeks back. It was a good thing as track had good grip right from the start.
We had two practice rounds and then four rounds of qualies.
I had bit rough qualifying and lined up 4th on the grid. Car was feeling great so I was looking for the mains.
In finals we had a bit different format. Finishing order of the A1 would be start order for A2 and finishing order of the A2 would be starting order for the A3.
A1 I was having a great battle with Juho Levanen trying to find a way pass but got taken out. Recovered to 5th position.
A2 started from 5th place I was able to avoid crashes and lead most of the race. Karri Salmela had bit more pace and I couldn't held him behind me. Finished solid 2nd place and got a good place to start for A3.
A3 had a great start but then Karri started to pull a gap. Couldn't catch him and finished 2nd overall.
Great race with good atmosphere!
